• Name and Email: Collected during onboarding for account identification and communication
• ZIP Code: Used to determine your timezone for accurate reminder delivery
• Message Content: Your reminder text, list items, and saved memories
• Scheduled Times: When you want to receive reminders

Information Collected Automatically

• Usage Data: Interaction timestamps, message frequency, feature usage
• Technical Data: Device type (inferred from carrier), message delivery status
• Billing Information: Subscription tier, payment status (payment details handled by Stripe)

How We Use Your Information

Your information is used exclusively for these purposes:

• Service Delivery: Send reminders at the scheduled time in your timezone
• Account Management: Manage your subscription, preferences, and account settings
• Customer Support: Respond to your support requests and technical issues
• Service Improvement: Analyze usage patterns to improve natural language processing and features
• Communication: Send service-related notifications (trial expiration, payment issues, etc.)

How We Protect Your Data

Encryption

• In Transit: All data transmitted between your device and our servers uses TLS encryption
• At Rest: Sensitive personal information (names, emails) is encrypted using AES-256-GCM encryption
• Database Security: PostgreSQL database with encrypted connections and secure access controls

Access Controls

• Limited employee access to user data on a need-to-know basis
• Two-factor authentication for all administrative access
• Regular security audits and penetration testing

Data Retention

• Active Reminders: Stored until delivered or deleted by you
• Completed Reminders: Automatically deleted after 90 days
• Memories & Lists: Retained until you delete them
• Account Data: Retained while your account is active, deleted immediately when you text "DELETE ACCOUNT"

What We Don't Do

• Never Sell Your Data: We will never sell, rent, or trade your personal information to third parties
• No Advertising: We don't serve ads or share data with advertising networks
• No Tracking: We don't use cookies, pixels, or tracking scripts for advertising purposes
• No Spam: We only send messages you explicitly request

Third-Party Services

We use trusted third-party services to operate Remyndrs. These providers are contractually obligated to protect your data:

• Twilio: Text message delivery (covered by Twilio's Privacy Policy)
• OpenAI: Natural language processing for understanding your messages (covered by OpenAI's Privacy Policy)
• Stripe: Payment processing (covered by Stripe's Privacy Policy)
• Render & Upstash: Infrastructure hosting and database services

Your Rights and Control

You have complete control over your data:

Access Your Data

• Text "SHOW ALL" to see all your reminders
• Text "SHOW LISTS" to view all your lists
• Text "SHOW MEMORIES" to view saved memories
• Text "STATUS" to see your account details

Delete Your Data

• Delete individual reminders: Text "DELETE [reminder description]"
• Delete lists: Text "DELETE [list name] LIST"
• Delete all data: Text "DELETE ACCOUNT"

Export Your Data

• Request a complete data export by emailing support@remyndrs.com
• We'll provide your data in JSON format within 7 business days

Modify Your Preferences

• Stop all messages: Text "STOP"
• Manage your subscription: Text "ACCOUNT"

Children's Privacy

Remyndrs is not intended for users under 13 years old. We do not knowingly collect information from children under 13. If you believe a child has provided us with personal information, please contact us at support@remyndrs.com and we will delete it immediately.

California Privacy Rights (CCPA)

If you're a California resident, you have additional rights:

• Right to Know: Request disclosure of data collected, used, and shared
• Right to Delete: Request deletion of your personal information
• Right to Opt-Out: Opt out of data sales (we don't sell data, so this doesn't apply)
